Practices

Practices are held at the Wichita Dog Training Club, 61st St. North & Seneca, Wichita, Kansas. To get there, take I-135 north out of Wichita, exit at 61st St. and go west approximately 2 miles until you cross the railroad tracks. Immediately after the railroad tracks, turn right on Seneca and then left into the club driveway. We are on the northwest corner of 61st St. North & Seneca.

We usually practice once a week. The day and time may change, so check our Upcoming Events for the latest practice info. Tornadoes and thunderstorms will cancel a practice!

We like to train outside on grass in our fenced yard. We also have a club building, so we can train inside if necessary.

We highly recommend you take our Flyball Class before attending practice. However, if there is not a class scheduled soon enough and you and your dog are just dying to start, you may be able to skip class and come straight to practice IF . . .

YOUR DOG:

Loves tennis balls
Is non-aggressive around other dogs and people
Comes on command even when off-leash
Is current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella)

And YOU are willing to:

Teach your dog to play flyball (takes a minimum of 2 hours a week)
Help all members of the team train (by boxloading, working on recalls, etc.)
Help set up and take down the flyball course
Eventually join the Wichita Dog Training Club
